Formed in 2007 from a merger between the Melbourne Phoenix and Melbourne Kestrels, the Melbourne Vixens have grown into one of Australia’s most successful netball teams.
The Vixens play their home matches at John Cain Arena within the Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct, a venue they’ve called home since 2008.
From 2008 to 2016, they competed in the Trans-Tasman ANZ Championship, claiming premierships in 2009 and 2014. In 2017, the Vixens joined the national Suncorp Super Netball league, capturing the premiership title in 2020.
Known for developing elite netball talent, the club has produced legends like Sharelle McMahon and Bianca Chatfield, inspiring a new generation of fans and players alike.
