community

As Victoria’s home of live sports and entertainment, the Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OP) precinct is a popular hub for community activity.

It’s a place where people from all walks of life come together to share experiences and make memories.

The support of Victoria’s diverse communities is vital to M&OP’s success, and M&OP is committed to reflecting the values of the community it serves.

The venues that make up the precinct are significant community assets, and M&OP encourages community members to visit the precinct, enjoy the green open space and make use of the public amenities at Gosch’s Paddock and Olympic Park Oval when not in use for training.

We also provide venue access and in-kind support to our tenants and partners who run a range of community focussed events each year.

Social & Community Framework

As a statutory authority led by a government-appointed Trust, M&OP strives at all times to align its operations and activities to community values, Victorian Public Sector standards and state government principles.

M&OP’s Social & Community Framework supports M&OP’s contribution to global efforts to improve conditions for all people and commitment to delivering tangible social outcomes for Victorian communities. It outlines core principles to guide M&OP’s approach to diversity and equality, access and inclusion, reconciliation, sustainability, and ongoing alignment to community values.

The Social and Community Framework is supported by four community action plans.
