Our precinct
Our precinct is home to six of Melbourne’s premier venues; Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena, AAMI Park, CENTREPIECE and Kia Arena.
The unrivalled location is situated between Melbourne’s CBD and Botanic Gardens, bound by the Yarra River. Comprising around 40 hectares, as the name suggests, it joins together the exceptionally unique premises of Melbourne Park and Olympic Park.
Rod Laver Arena
Rod Laver Arena has long been the home of the most iconic and world-class event experiences Australia has to offer.
The venue is notably acclaimed for hosting the Australian Open, as well as Melbourne’s most celebrated sport and entertainment events.
Rod Laver Arena has facilitated concert spectaculars across every genre of music and entertainment, from Metallica to The Wiggles; Pavarotti to Lady Gaga.

Margaret Court Arena
Having undergone a substantial redevelopment in recent years, Margaret Court Arena (MCA) has been transformed into one of Australia’s premier multi-use arenas, notably acclaimed for hosting the Australian Open, as well as Melbourne’s most celebrated sport and entertainment events.
The venue now features a retractable roof, which is the fastest of its kind in the world, alongside new corporate facilities, video screens, sound systems and spectator facilities.
With its humble beginnings as ‘Show Court One’ following its opening in 1988, the venue can now host basketball, netball and an array of entertainment events.
John Cain Arena
John Cain Arena has long been the home of the most iconic and world-class event experiences Australia has to offer.
The venue is notably acclaimed for hosting the Australian Open, as well as Melbourne’s most celebrated sport and entertainment events.
John Cain Arena is home to a range of professional sporting teams, including Melbourne United & South East Melbourne Phoenix (Basketball) and the Melbourne Vixens (Netball).
AAMI Park
AAMI Park is one of Australia’s premier rectangular venues, notably acclaimed for hosting Melbourne’s most celebrated sport and entertainment events.
The Stadium is home to a range of professional sporting teams, including Melbourne Victory & City (Football) and Melbourne Storm (Rugby League).
It also gives concertgoers a truly intimate experience, having hosted iconic acts such as the Foo Fighters, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Queen and Adam Lambert and Elton John.
AAMI Park is capable of hosting world-class sporting events and live productions, with unmatched facilities and expert support from the venue’s operations team, while boasting award-winning sports-turf for all an array of sporting codes.
The venue features a cutting-edge bio-frame design, with a geodesic dome roof that substantially covers the seating area, with guests enjoying completely unobstructed views, free from pillars, walls or other support structures, with an unparalleled atmosphere to match.
Located on the exterior of the roof is a LED lighting system that enables the Stadium to display numerous patterns and colours.
CENTREPIECE
CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park holds prime position in Australia’s iconic epicentre of sports, live events and entertainment.
Bounded by the Yarra River and set among 40 hectares of green public space, the Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct is perhaps best known as the home of the Australian Open, with CENTREPIECE’s auditorium and media facilities serving as the broadcast hub for this world-class grand slam tournament.
As the precinct’s newest venue, CENTREPIECE rubs shoulders with the giants of elite sports and arena entertainment at Rod Laver Arena, John Cain Arena, Margaret Court Arena and AAMI Park.

Kia Arena
The new 5,000 capacity Kia Arena is Melbourne’s most exciting new outdoor sports and entertainment venue, positioned at the centre of the Melbourne Park precinct.
