The 2024 AFL Grand Final Parade will once again take to Melbourne Park, featuring a more fan-friendly route this year.

Held on Friday 27 September and with over a quarter of a million people from across the country and overseas expected, the new fan-friendly route will bypass public roads and provide more fan-viewing opportunities.

Melbourne Park Oval will be one of the prime spots for families and fans to watch the start of the Parade, with pre-parade entertainment starting at 9.00am including Sherrin giveaways, food and beverage, live music and AFL legends.

The Parade will commence at approximately 10.30am, and will progress through the Melbourne Park precinct to Birrarung Marr, over the walk bridge and into Yarra Park, finishing at the AFL’s Footy Festival. The Grand Final teams and 2024 AFL Premiership Cup will be presented on the Footy Festival main stage at approximately midday.

Important Event Information

There are several options for your journey to Melbourne Park:
- Public transport is the quickest and easiest option. Before you attend, plan ahead and allow extra travel time for any major disruptions.
- Parking is available at the Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard). We strongly recommend pre-booking; drive-up spaces are subject to availability. Bookings close at midnight the night before the event.
  - Note: Accessible parking must be pre-booked via Ticketek.
All retail outlets are cashless. Any transactions must be made using a credit or debit card.
