The Collingwood Magpies Netball team made their debut in 2017 in the new premier domestic netball league, Suncorp Super Netball.
The club is owned by Melbourne & Olympic Park tenants, Collingwood Football Club, with their training and administration based out of the Holden Centre at Olympic Park.
The Magpies call John Cain Arena home and have also played home games at Margaret Court Arena. The team plays two home games each season in Tasmania as part of an agreement with the Tasmanian government. The Tasmanian Magpies are the reserve team of the Collingwood Magpies and play in the Australian Netball League, winning the championship in 2018.
The Magpies’ 2022 line-up is captained by British international player, Geva Mentor.
